HATHEAD by Alta Via​

The truth is "one size fits all" does not fit all. This is how I came to make hats... 

These hats are hand crocheted using merino wool blends from all over the world. They're fleece-lined for super warmth against the winter's weather, and comfortable enough to wear either on the hill or for apres-ski activities. Alta Via encourages everyone to be informed about the use of helmets during skiing or snowboarding. If going without a helmet is your choice, then these hats will make you stand out in the crowd and keep you warm. If wearing a helmet is your choice, then wear your Alta Via hat for fire-side aprés fun. These are guaranteed to bring a smile to that already smiling face. And kids love them too!!

Why HATHEAD? Back in "the day" everyone wore a hat. After wearing one all day, one's hair style was rather flattened by the hat, hence the term "hat head." Now we wear helmets but Helmet Head doesn't sound as good.

Why Alta Via? The Alta Via is a high altitude trail in the Italian Alps both rigorous and spectacular. It conjures feelings of adventure, gratitude and humility. Wear these hats and think about a place that makes you want to explore, and at the end of the day, feel grateful for having been somewhere special.
